David Astro SCT to 2" Visual Back
- Threads onto the rear cell of an SCT
- Holds 2" diagonals and accessories
- Opens the way to 2" low-power eyepieces
The David Astro SCT to 2" Visual Back threads onto the SCT thread on the rear cell of a Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope and holds 2" accessories, such as a 2" diagonal.
A 2" visual back lets you use a 2" diagonal and 2" eyepieces on your SCT. Long focal length SCTs give narrow fields of view, and low-power 2" eyepieces show a wider true field than 1.25" eyepieces allow.
It turns the threaded rear port of a Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope into a holder for 2" accessories, such as a 2" diagonal.
It threads onto the SCT thread found on the rear cell of most Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes. Some larger SCTs use a wider rear thread. Contact us before ordering and we will confirm it for you.
Yes, with a 2" to 1.25" adapter in the visual back or in your 2" diagonal.
Unthread the existing visual back or accessory from the rear cell, then thread this visual back on by hand until snug. Do not overtighten.
