  • Sky-Watcher Nikon D300/D700 Shutter Release

The Sky-Watcher Nikon D300/D700 Shutter Release (S20311) provides direct, automated shutter control for Nikon D300 and D700 cameras by connecting their 10-pin remote terminal to the SNAP port on compatible Sky-Watcher mounts. This single electronic cable lets SNAP-equipped mounts such as the Star Adventurer, AZ-EQ5, EQ6 and EQ8 fire your DSLR automatically.

Automated Imaging Control for Nikon D300 & D700

The cable runs from the mount's Auto-Image (SNAP) port to the 10-pin remote terminal of your Nikon D300 or D700, so you can control the camera through your Sky-Watcher mount and let the mount fire the shutter automatically.

Listed for Six Sky-Watcher Mount Families

Retailers list this shutter release cable for Sky-Watcher mounts that carry a SNAP port, including portable mounts like the Star Adventurer and Virtuoso, the AllView and AZ-EQ5, and the larger EQ6 and EQ8.

  • What specific Sky-Watcher mounts work with the S20311 shutter cable?

The Sky-Watcher S20311 cable is listed for Sky-Watcher mounts equipped with a SNAP (Auto-Image) port, including the Virtuoso, Star Adventurer, AllView, AZ-EQ5, EQ6 and EQ8.

Will this Sky-Watcher cable work with other Nikon cameras?

The S20311 is listed for the Nikon D300 and D700, which use the Nikon 10-pin remote terminal. Compatibility with other Nikon bodies is not confirmed for this part, and cameras without a 10-pin remote terminal need a different shutter release cable.

Which connectors does the Sky-Watcher S20311 cable use?

The mount side plugs into the Sky-Watcher SNAP (Auto-Image) port and the camera side plugs into the Nikon 10-pin remote terminal.
