SharpStar Newtonian Astrographs (HNT, PNT)
SharpStar Newtonian astrographs are very fast reflectors built for deep-sky imaging. The HNT models, a 130mm and a 150mm at f/2.8, use a hyperbolic primary mirror with a dedicated corrector to reach very short exposure times. The PNT 200mm f/3.2 uses a parabolic primary and gathers more light for galaxies and faint nebulae.
At these focal ratios, precise collimation, a rigid focuser and a camera with correct back focus matter, so they suit imagers with some experience.
