    Dynamic Range and Full Well Capacity

    The camera's 14-bit ADC provides 13 stops of dynamic range, capturing a greater range of details in high-contrast scenes. The impressive 63,700e full well capacity prevents saturation of bright stars, ensuring excellent signal-to-noise ratios with single exposures.

    High-Speed Operation

    The USB 3.0 interface supports a frame rate of 16 fps at 14-bit normal mode and 19 fps at 12-bit high-speed mode, making the ASI294MC ideal for a variety of applications, from deep-sky imaging to fast planetary captures.

    Setup Instructions

    1. Connect the ASI294MC to your computer via the USB 3.0 port, which provides a 5Gb bandwidth for smooth operation at full resolution.
    2. For guiding, link the camera to your mount’s auto-guide port using the ST4 port.
    3. Adjust gain settings to suit your imaging needs. When set above 120, the HCG mode will engage automatically, reducing readout noise.
    4. Use appropriate filters or accessories to optimize imaging for specific targets or conditions.
