Kowa Warranty Policy

Kowa Limited Lifetime Warranty

All Kowa spotting scopes, binoculars and accessories sold through an authorized North American Kowa retailer, including David Astro, come with Kowa's Limited Lifetime Warranty.

What is covered

Kowa warrants its sporting optics products to be free of defects in materials and workmanship and to function satisfactorily under normal conditions during the lifetime of the product, to the original owner. If a product is found to have a defect in materials or workmanship, Kowa will repair or replace it free of charge, at its discretion.

Lens caps and covers, cases, pouches and straps are covered for their lifetime to the original owner, but not for accidental loss.

What is not covered

  • Normal wear and tear. Optical coatings may develop small blemishes over time through normal wear and tear and environmental conditions.
  • Products that have been disassembled, modified or worked on by anyone not authorized by Kowa.
  • Damage from unauthorized repair, alteration, abuse or misuse.
  • Products bought outside North America, which carry the warranty of Kowa's office in that region.

Kowa decides warranty coverage. If a repair is not covered, you receive an estimate before any work is done.
