The Baader Hyperion DT-Ring M72/M82 serves as a precision-threaded adapter. Its sole purpose is to connect two different thread sizes within the Baader optical accessory system: M72 female threads to M82 male threads.

This ring is explicitly designed for use with other Baader Hyperion Digital T-Ring (DT) components. It is the necessary link to connect the HDT54/62 adapter ring to the HDT62/72 adapter ring, creating a single, solid unit.

While the M72 and M82 threads are standard sizes, this ring is optimized for the specific backfocus and mechanical tolerances of the Baader Hyperion system. Using it with third-party accessories may work, but it is not guaranteed to provide the correct spacing or a perfectly rigid connection.
