Howie Glatter T-Adapter w/ Parallizer Design
This is the T-adapter version of Howie Glatter's Parallizer, made by Starlight Instruments. It goes in a 2" drawtube and has a male M42 (T/T2) thread for direct attachment of 42mm camera T-rings and other T-threaded accessories. Its patented Parallizer alignment feature keeps your image train parallel to the drawtube axis.
Centering is nice, parallelism is golden
Howie's point: an accessory pushed off-center by a millimeter or more by clamping does not cause a significant problem as long as the accessory and holder axes stay parallel. Angular misalignment of even a few arc minutes between the accessory and the drawtube axis can be detrimental, especially for collimation tools and camera adapters.
The Parallizer design uses two parallel lines of contact and an opposite clamping point of contact, so the drawtube and accessory axes stay parallel. Sky & Telescope chose the Parallizer as a Hot Product for 2012.

Can I use the Howie Glatter T-Adapter with 1.25" eyepieces?
No. This adapter has male M42 T-threads and is designed specifically for cameras and imaging accessories. For 1.25" eyepieces or laser collimators, you need the sibling product, the Howie Glatter 2" to 1.25" Parallizer Eyepiece Adapter.
How does the Parallizer design in the T-Adapter achieve perfect alignment?

Will the Howie Glatter T-Adapter work with my DSLR camera and 8" SCT?
It goes in a 2" drawtube and takes a camera T-ring on its male M42 thread. Whether your SCT's 2" visual back or focuser has room for your camera train is not something Starlight addresses.
Does the Howie Glatter T-Adapter have threads for 2" filters?
Starlight does not list a filter thread for the T-adapter version. The 48 mm (2") filter thread is listed for the 2" to 1.25" Parallizer.
