  • Pegasus Astro Prodigy Microfocuser Telescope Paired Adapters for Skywatcher Esprit 100

This two-part adapter provides a secure, dedicated mechanical connection between the Pegasus Astro Prodigy Microfocuser and the Sky-Watcher Esprit 100 refractor. It builds upon the Prodigy's native 80 mm backfocus, allowing you to precisely integrate this high-capacity focuser into your Esprit imaging train.

    A Two-Part Adapter for the Sky-Watcher Esprit 100

Pegasus Astro lists this adapter for the Sky-Watcher Esprit 100. The adapter consists of two separate components: the main telescope-side adapter and an additional spacer. This two-part construction provides critical flexibility for achieving the optimal backfocus distance needed for your specific camera and accessories, such as an off-axis guider or filter wheel.

  • What is the purpose of the Pegasus Astro PEG-PRDG-ESPR100 adapter?

This adapter is designed to physically connect the Pegasus Astro Prodigy Microfocuser to a Sky-Watcher Esprit 100 telescope. The Prodigy Microfocuser itself is sold separately.

How does the two-part design of the Esprit 100 adapter help my imaging setup?

The adapter includes a main body and a separate spacer. This allows for some adjustment in the total backfocus of your imaging train. Depending on whether you use the spacer or not, you can better accommodate the required spacing for different cameras, filter wheels, or off-axis guiders connected to your Esprit 100.

What is the final backfocus when using this adapter with the Prodigy Microfocuser?

The Prodigy Microfocuser has a native backfocus of 80 mm with its drawtube fully retracted and without any telescope adapter. Fitting this Esprit 100 adapter will increase the total backfocus. Pegasus Astro does not specify the exact length added by the adapter, as the final distance depends on your specific configuration, including whether you use the included spacer.

Is the Prodigy Microfocuser included with the Esprit 100 adapter?

No, the Prodigy Microfocuser is a separate product. This item is only the two-part adapter required to mount the focuser onto the telescope.
