    Adapt 1.25" Mounted Filters for 36mm Unmounted Slots

    This insert solves a common equipment problem: owning a library of high-quality 1.25" filters but using an SBIG filter wheel that requires 36mm unmounted glass. Instead of replacing your entire filter set, you can use these inserts to bridge the format gap. Simply thread your 1.25" filter into the adapter, and the assembly drops into the 36mm carousel slot just like a standard unmounted filter.

    For Specific SBIG AFW-8, FW8-8300 & FW8S-Aluma Wheels

    These inserts are confirmed by Diffraction Limited to be compatible with several popular SBIG filter wheels, including the AFW-8-36R Compact Format wheel. They also work with many legacy 36mm wheels, such as the FW8-8300 and FW8S-Aluma.

    A critical limitation is that these adapters are not compatible with the AFW slim series filter wheels, such as the AFW-16-36R. Mounted filters are too thick for the slim wheels. These inserts require the tall version of the wheel.
