A good beginner unit and dual purpose for day-time photos

A solid and lightweight unit. Definitely recommended if you have SA or SA mini and don't plan to add too much weight. It seems fine with my DSLR and lenses, as well as light weight refractors. When I step up my telescope game, everything else will step up anyway.

With a ball-head this also functions well for daytime photography.
