What is the difference between the Telegizmos T3TP and T3TP-S tripod covers?
The core difference is the inner lining. The T3TP is 365 Series canvas only. The T3TP-S is dual material: the same canvas with a full radiant barrier liner, which blocks radiant heat build-up and adds a second barrier to water.
How water resistant is the Telegizmos 365 Series Tripod Cover?
The outer canvas showed no moisture penetration in a 40 PSI spray test with a 1/2 inch concentrated stream. It has a hydrostatic rating of more than 25 inches and a spray rating of 90, and protects your tripod from rain and dew.
How do I know if the Telegizmos 365 Tripod Cover will fit my setup?
TeleGizmos does not publish dimensions for the 365 version, so contact us with your tripod's leg spread and leg height before ordering. Both the T3TP and T3TP-S can be custom sized to your tripod for an extra charge.
Can the Telegizmos 365 Series Tripod Cover stay outside year round?
Yes. The 365 Series is made for continuous 24/7, 365-day outdoor exposure, and the outer canvas has an exterior weather rating of 5 years. The 1 year warranty, labor and material, includes continuous 24/7 outdoor exposure.
Can I keep the Telegizmos 365 Tripod Cover on during a dewy night of imaging?
Yes. Many users leave the cover on while observing or imaging when conditions are dewy. The adjustable top opening lets you place the cover over the mount's motor drives and electronics, protecting them from moisture, and you can open the Velcro enough to reach an accessory tray.
Will condensation still form under the Telegizmos 365 cover?
It can. While the cover keeps out rain and dew, it cannot prevent condensation from forming on your equipment due to ambient humidity and temperature changes. In environments with large day-to-night temperature swings or high humidity, moisture in the air trapped under the cover can still condense on cold metal surfaces.
