    The Wanderer Astro Saddle Replacement Kit is the dedicated mechanical interface for upgrading your Takahashi Epsilon 130 or Epsilon 160 with Wanderer Astro's advanced imaging components. This kit directly replaces the stock focuser, creating a solid mounting point for the high-payload Wanderer FETA M92 electronic focuser and the optional WandererRotator Lite V2. The kit installs in front of the Epsilon's corrector.

    FETA M92 Integration: Replacing the Stock Focuser on Epsilon 130/160

    This kit replaces the original focuser of your Takahashi Epsilon 130 or Epsilon 160 so you can install the Wanderer FETA M92. The integration is engineered so that your Epsilon astrograph should achieve focus with the FETA M92 positioned approximately at the midpoint of its travel.

    A Forward-Mounted Solution in Front of the Corrector

    Unlike components that attach to the rear of an imaging train, the Saddle Replacement Kit installs in front of the Epsilon's corrector lens assembly. This forward position means it does not interfere with a Wanderer ETA M54 tilt adjuster that may be installed behind the corrector, allowing you to build a complete Wanderer Astro imaging ecosystem on your Takahashi Epsilon.

  • What else do I need to buy with the Wanderer Saddle Replacement Kit?

    This kit is a mechanical adapter only. To use it, you must have a Wanderer FETA M92 electronic focuser. You can also optionally add the WandererRotator Lite V2. The FETA M92 and rotator are sold separately.

    Will this kit work with my Takahashi Epsilon 180?

    No. This kit is specifically designed for either the Takahashi Epsilon 130 or the Takahashi Epsilon 160. You must select the correct version for your telescope at the time of purchase. For the Epsilon 180, Wanderer Astro offers a separate FETA M92 Adapter Kit for Takahashi Epsilon 180.

    Does installing the Wanderer Saddle Kit change how my Epsilon 160 focuses?

    Yes, it fundamentally changes the focusing mechanism. This kit requires you to remove the telescope's original focuser entirely. All focusing will then be handled by the Wanderer FETA M92 electronic focuser. The system is designed so that the FETA M92 should reach focus near the middle of its adjustment travel.

    Can I still use my Wanderer ETA M54 tilt adjuster with this kit?

    Yes. The Saddle Replacement Kit is installed in front of the Epsilon's corrector lenses. Because the Wanderer ETA M54 is typically installed behind the corrector, the two components do not interfere with each other, allowing you to use both simultaneously.
