- Do I need a permanent pier for a Paramount?
- Not strictly, but the mounts are designed around repeatable installation and their advantages — a persistent pointing model and unattended operation — are largely realized on a permanent or semi-permanent base.
- What is TPoint actually doing?
- It builds a mathematical model of your mount's mechanical imperfections and polar misalignment from measured star positions, then corrects pointing and tracking against it. The result is accurate slewing and much reduced guiding demand.
- Can I use TheSkyX with a non-Bisque mount?
- Yes, it supports a wide range of mounts and instruments. The deepest integration, including full TPoint tracking correction, is with Paramount hardware.
- How is service handled for such heavy equipment?
- Domestically. As an authorized dealer we handle warranty and diagnostics in Canada, which avoids shipping an observatory mount across a border for support.
