  • Kowa TSN-PA7 Digiscoping Photo Adapter for PROMINAR TSN-99/88/77/66

The Kowa TSN-PA7 Digiscoping Photo Adapter transforms your PROMINAR TSN-99, TSN-88, TSN-77, or TSN-66 series spotting scope into a powerful super-telephoto lens, achieving a 35mm equivalent focal length of up to 2,570mm. It is compatible with the Kowa TE-11WZ II wide angle zoom eyepiece and with most DSLR and mirrorless/MFT cameras.

Up to 2,570mm Focal Length: Transform Your Scope into a Super-Telephoto Lens

With the TSN-PA7, Kowa says your PROMINAR scope becomes a high powered telephoto lens, with a focal length range up to 2,570 mm (35 mm full frame equivalent).

To safeguard your equipment in the field, the adapter includes an integrated protective glass element. It keeps the camera sensor clean.

Use With PROMINAR Scopes and the TE-11WZ II Eyepiece

The Kowa TSN-PA7 is for Kowa PROMINAR TSN-99, TSN-88, TSN-77 and TSN-66 series scopes with the TE-11WZ II Wide Angle Zoom Eyepiece.

Thoughtful design elements make the adapter practical for active use. The body features purpose-built cut-outs, granting you unobstructed access to the eyepiece's zoom ring. This allows you to adjust magnification without having to disassemble your camera setup.

Kowa TSN-PA7 vs. TSN-PA8: Choosing the Right Adapter for Your Scope

Kowa offers two photo adapters for different scope bodies.

    • TSN-PA7 (This Model): For PROMINAR TSN-99/88/77/66 series scopes with the TE-11WZ II wide angle zoom eyepiece.
    • TSN-PA8: For the TSN-660/600 series spotting scopes and the TSN-82SV, for SLR or heavy system cameras.

Before ordering, check that your scope is a TSN-99, TSN-88, TSN-77 or TSN-66 series model with the TE-11WZ II eyepiece.

  • What do I need to use the Kowa TSN-PA7 adapter?

You need a Kowa PROMINAR TSN-99, TSN-88, TSN-77 or TSN-66 series spotting scope, the Kowa TE-11WZ II eyepiece, the TSN-PA7 and your camera. Kowa lists the TSN-PA7 as compatible with most DSLR and mirrorless/MFT cameras.

Will the Kowa TSN-PA7 work with my TSN-82SV spotting scope?

Kowa lists the TSN-PA7 for the TSN-99/88/77/66 PROMINAR series and does not list the TSN-82SV. For the TSN-82SV, Kowa offers the TSN-PA8.

What is the difference between the Kowa TSN-PA7 and the TSN-PA8?

The difference is the scope body. The TSN-PA7 is for the TSN-99/88/77/66 PROMINAR series with the TE-11WZ II zoom eyepiece. The TSN-PA8 is for the TSN-660/600 series and the TSN-82SV, for SLR or heavy system cameras.

How is the 2,570mm focal length achieved with the Kowa TSN-PA7?

Kowa gives a focal length range up to 2,570 mm (35 mm full frame equivalent). It is a maximum: the focal length you get depends on the scope, the zoom setting of the TE-11WZ II and the camera.

Can I use the Kowa TSN-PA7 for bird photography with my TSN-88 scope?

Yes. Kowa lists the TSN-PA7 for the TSN-88 with the TE-11WZ II eyepiece, turning the scope into a high powered telephoto lens.

Does the Kowa TSN-PA7 have any glass elements inside?

Yes. The Kowa TSN-PA7 has protective glass that keeps the camera sensor clean.

How does my camera connect to the Kowa TSN-PA7?

Kowa lists the TSN-PA7 as compatible with most DSLR and mirrorless/MFT cameras, but the product information does not state the camera connection. Kowa makes TSN-CM2 T2 rings for Canon EF, Nikon F, Pentax K, Sony E and Micro Four Thirds; contact us to confirm the parts for your camera.
