Player One CS-C 5mm Adapter
- Adds exactly 5mm of extension
- Converts a CS-mount interface to C-mount
- Enables C-mount lenses to focus on CS-mount cameras
- Made from 6061-T6 aluminum

Check vignettingThe Player One CS-C 5mm Adapter is a 5mm extension tube that converts a CS-mount interface into a C-mount. The added 5mm provides the flange distance C-mount lenses need to reach focus on a CS-mount camera or adapter.
The C-mount standard has a flange-to-sensor distance of 17.526mm, while the CS-mount standard is only 12.526mm. This adapter bridges that 5mm gap. By threading it onto a CS-mount, you create the correct spacing to attach C-mount lenses and bring them to a sharp focus.
This adapter is designed for one-way conversion: using C-mount lenses on CS-mount cameras. It is not intended for, and will not work for, attaching CS-mount lenses to C-mount cameras, as that would require moving the lens closer to the sensor, not farther away.
The adapter is made from Aluminum 6061-T6, a strong and lightweight alloy, for a solid metal-to-metal connection between your camera and lens.
The Player One CS-C 5mm Adapter is a simple extension tube that converts a CS-mount interface into a C-mount. This allows you to attach and properly focus C-mount lenses on cameras that have the shorter CS-mount flange distance.
No. This adapter only works in one direction: C-mount lens on a CS-mount camera. A CS-mount lens already needs to be 5mm closer to the sensor than a C-mount lens. Adding this 5mm extension would make it impossible to reach focus.
First fit the Player One CS-M42 Adapter to give the camera a CS-mount, then thread the CS-C 5mm Adapter onto it. Your C-mount lens then threads onto the CS-C adapter and sits at the correct C-mount distance.
The 5mm length is the precise mechanical difference between the two standards. The C-mount flange distance is 17.526mm and the CS-mount is 12.526mm. The Player One CS-C adapter adds exactly 5mm of spacing to make up that difference.
Yes. If your camera has a CS-mount (directly or through an adapter) and you want to use a C-mount security or machine-vision lens for all-sky or meteor work, this 5mm adapter provides the spacing the lens needs.
Aluminum 6061-T6 is a strong, lightweight alloy widely used for astronomy adapters. It gives a solid metal connection between the lens and the camera.
