  • Vaonis Hestia Smartphone Telescope

Hestia turns your smartphone into a smart telescope. Its 30mm optics magnify your phone camera's view 25 times, and the free Gravity app guides you to the Moon, the Sun (with a solar filter) and the brightest deep-sky objects. Choose the Essential Pack (Hestia and its dust cover, for your own 3/8" tripod), the Standard Pack (Hestia with a tripod) or the Ultimate Pack, the complete day-and-night kit with a tripod, solar filter, solar pointer and hard carrying case.

    How it works

Place your phone on Hestia and the free Gravity app guides you to line up the phone's main camera with the eyepiece. Gravity then helps you find targets by analyzing the star field, assists with focus, and stacks your images to bring out more detail.

    No battery, no electronics

Hestia has no chips, no firmware and no battery: there is nothing to charge or update. Its 30mm optics with 6 lenses in 3 groups give 25x magnification and a 1.8° field, enough to frame the whole Moon. Vaonis designed it to resist rain and snow.

    Compatible smartphones

Hestia works with many recent iPhone and Android phones. Vaonis keeps an up-to-date list of compatible models on its support site; check it before ordering, as deep-sky imaging needs a recent phone.

  • Which pack should I choose?

The Essential Pack is Hestia with its dust cover, for observers who already own a tripod with a 3/8" thread. The Standard Pack adds a tripod. The Ultimate Pack adds a tripod, a solar filter, a solar pointer and a hard carrying case, for observing day and night.

    Is my phone compatible?

Hestia supports many recent iPhone and Android models, but not tablets, iPads or folding phones. Vaonis publishes the current compatibility list on its support site.

Can I observe the Sun with Hestia?

Only with a solar filter securely installed. The Ultimate Pack includes a solar filter and a solar pointer. Never point Hestia at the Sun without the filter.
