The Vespera Pro II is the most advanced smart telescope in the Vaonis range, tailored for easy astrophotography. Its new flat-field apochromatic quadruplet and square 12.5MP Sony IMX676 sensor capture galaxies, nebulae and star clusters in fine detail, with mosaics up to 50MP.
The 50mm, f/4.9 quadruplet in three groups uses S-FPL52 extra-low dispersion glass and a field corrector for sharp, well-corrected stars across the whole field. The square 3536 x 3536 pixel sensor gives a native field of 1.65° x 1.65°, and CovalENS mosaics reach 4.18° x 2.45°.
Place the telescope on its tripod, open the Singularity app on your phone or tablet and choose a target. The telescope points itself, focuses, tracks the sky and stacks images live, so the picture gets cleaner and more detailed on your screen as the minutes go by.
CovalENS mosaic mode assembles several fields into one large image for wide nebulae and galaxies. Multi-Night Capture lets a project continue over several nights, and Plan My Night schedules a sequence of targets that runs on its own.
A new baffle reduces stray light and halos for better contrast. An integrated humidity and temperature sensor switches on the anti-fog heating automatically, so the optics stay clear all night.
Images can be exported as 16-bit FITS files for processing in software such as Siril or PixInsight.
Both share the same new 245mm f/4.9 optics, body and up to 11 h battery life. The Vespera Pro II adds the square 12.5MP Sony IMX676 sensor (mosaics up to 50MP) and 225GB of storage, while the Vespera III uses the 8.3MP Sony IMX585 sensor (mosaics up to 24MP) with 115GB of storage.
No. The telescope creates its own Wi-Fi network and is controlled with the free Singularity app on a smartphone or tablet. No internet connection is needed in the field.
Yes. Vaonis offers optional filters, including the CLS filter for light-polluted skies, the Dual Band filter for emission nebulae and the Solar filter for observing the Sun. No filter is built in.
