    This additional set of EQ-clamp brackets is designed specifically for the underside of the Baader Stronghold Tangent Assembly. By installing these Vixen-style clamps, you can add a second, parallel mounting point to your Stronghold, so the Stronghold can be fixed onto an existing EQ dovetail bar while holding another EQ dovetail bar on top. The set consists of two clamp brackets.

    The Baader Stronghold is a versatile tangent assembly, and these additional EQ-clamps unlock its full potential for complex imaging rigs. By attaching this Vixen-style clamp set to the bottom of your Stronghold, you create a secure, secondary platform ideal for mounting a guidescope directly parallel to your main imaging telescope or for running two smaller instruments side-by-side. The brackets are made to mount on the underside of the Stronghold, in addition to the EQ-clamp already included with it.

    This bracket set allows you to add a second, Vixen-style dovetail clamp to the underside of your existing Baader Stronghold Tangent Assembly. This is used to mount a second telescope, a guidescope, or other accessories parallel to your primary instrument.

    Are these brackets compatible with dovetail bars other than Vixen-style?

    No, these brackets are specifically designed to accept Vixen-style (V-style) dovetail bars. They are not compatible with wider Losmandy-style (D-style) plates.

    Where do these Baader Stronghold EQ-clamp Brackets install on the Stronghold assembly?

    The brackets are designed to be mounted on the underside of the Baader Stronghold body, directly opposite the primary saddle.

    Can I use this bracket set to mount a guidescope to my Baader Stronghold?

    Yes, this is a primary use case. You can use this additional bracket set on the underside to fix the Stronghold onto your main telescope's Vixen-style dovetail bar, and hold your guidescope (on its own Vixen dovetail bar) in the top clamp for a compact and rigid guiding setup.
